Event Types

Create and manage meeting formats that guests can book — including duration, location, and booking rules.

Overview

An Event Type defines a specific kind of meeting you offer. It controls the meeting title, allowed durations, location, the URL guests use to book, and advanced scheduling rules like buffer times and minimum notice. Each event type is linked to one of your availability schedules.

Create an Event Type

  1. Go to Dashboard → Event Types.
  2. Click New Event Type.
  3. Fill in the required fields (described below).
  4. Click Save.

Scheduling Rules

Field Description
Minimum Notice How far in advance a guest must book (e.g. 2 hours, 1 day). Prevents last-minute bookings.

Booking Behaviour

Field Description
Requires Confirmation When enabled, every new booking is placed in a Pending state and you must manually confirm or reject it from the Meetings page

Once an event type is created, guests can book using:

https://quickmeetly.com/<your-username>/<event-type-url>

From the event type list you can:

  • Open link — opens the booking page in a new tab
  • QR code — generates a QR code for the booking link (useful for printed materials or presentations)

Tips

  • Use multiple durations on a single event type so guests can self-select how long they need — for example “15 / 30 / 60 min”.
  • Set a buffer after if you need travel or wrap-up time between meetings.
  • Set a booking window (e.g. 14 or 30 days) to prevent guests from booking too far out, keeping your schedule manageable.
  • Enable Requires Confirmation for event types where you need to vet the guest before committing.
  • Add a Redirect URL to show a button on the confirmation page linking guests to an onboarding form, payment page, or calendar invite.
